Simulation Notes Europe

Aims and Scope

The journal Simulation Notes Europe (abbreviated SNE) publishes information related to modelling and simulation. SNE is the official membership news journal of EUROSIM. SNE's aims are:

  • to inform about new developments in simulation methodologies, applications and software and hardware for modeling and simulation
    - by publication of scientific contributions, called notes
  • to report news from European simulation societies and European simulation events and from international simulation societies and working groups all over the world
    - by publication of a regular Societies' Short Info and of society reports,
  • and by relevant information on new journals and books on simulation, on simulation groups, and simulation specialists
    - by publication of book reviews, presentation of simulationsts/simulation groups, and industry news

SNE publishes peer reviewed scientific contributions dealing

  • with new developments and surveys in a particular area (Technical Notes, Overview Notes),
  • with recent results in application and theory (Short Notes),
  • with simulation in education and simulation for education (Education Notes),
  • with new features of simulation software (Software Notes),
  • and with evaluation and comparison of modelling approaches and simulation implementations based on the ARGESIM Benchmarks (Benchmark Notes).

SNE publishes in a News Section

  • basic information on the EUROSIM member societies,
  • reports from the EUROSIM member societies and other simulation societies,
  • book and journal reviews and news, industry news
  • introduction of simulation centers and simulation specialists
